Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library (PARL) is one of 9 regional libraries that provide public library services in Nova Scotia. PARL has 7 local library branches and 24-7 Virtual Library services through our website.
Library materials are a wide variety books, downloadable e-books & audio books, Large print, newspapers, magazines, DVDs, online research databases, animated children's e-storybooks, programs and special events, workshops, seminars, and more.
All library branches are Community Technology Access sites and have 24-7 Wireless Hotspot access. In addition, we have public computer terminals with Internet
access, software programs, printers, photocopiers, document scanners, and more. Several branches also have FAX machines,
and laminators. A small fee is charged for printing & FAX services.

Our staff are trained to help you choose and locate the information you seek, assist with research and advise on what to read next!
Interlibrary loans - we can locate and borrow books from other libraries.
BARA (Borrow Anywhere Return Anywhere)! Your PARL card entitles you to apply for borrowing privileges at any participating public, academic and government library in Nova Scotia!
